Chard opens its first office offering a vastly better lettings service than those already in existence. Both founders had a background in customer service. Both were landlords, seriously dissatisfied with the inadequate, antiquated services then on offer from lettings agents. Today, it has a staff of more than 100 and over 2000 properties on its books.
Chard has 3 negotiators and moves into premises on High Street Kensington. Recognising the secret of success is creating a smooth and seamless match between the landlord, the tenant and the property. Chard begins to get high-end instructions and strives to take as much care with modest one bedroom flats letting at £200 a week as with imposing mansions on offer at £15,000 per week.
Chard moves to Notting Hill Gate premises giving it a more local presence.
South Kensington & Chelsea Office opens. Chard decided to operate differently from most other lettings agents.
Chard now cover Pimlico & Westminster, the expansion continues.
The new Fulham office opens covering Fulham and Parsons Green. This office covers Fulham, Parsons Green and areas of Chelsea. Chard keeps on growing.
Chard launches the sales business to continue dominate in the property market.
Brook Green lettings office opened. The company begins a westward expansion into Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith after demand for an office in Brook Green reaches fever pitch.
'Eco-friendly' Toyota Prius fleet launches. Chard takes delivery of the first vehicles from its new 'green' fleet- the company's decision to phase in an environmentally friendly fleet.
Chard Sales joined the Ombudsman for Estate Agents scheme - an independent service to resolve disputes between estate agents and their clients and customers.
Chard moves its Parsons Green operation to Fulham Broadway, 5 Harwood Road, Fulham, SW6 4QP obtaining a key location to expand and grow its business.
Chard complete a highly successful start to the year and upgrade their renowned branded Toyota Prius' to Toyota Aygos which suit the London roads perfectly. Chard becomes a trading name of Thamesview Estate Agents Ltd.
Chard are part of RICS and ARLA ensure our staff are trained to the highest level providing quality in service, that's why Chard receive over 70% recommendations to family and friends. Once Chard takes a property onto its books, it keeps landlords fully informed of progress and makes recommendations to ensure a minimum vacant period. Chard also work for landlords and charge fees on a monthly basis. We are a member of the Property Ombudsmanís Scheme, which has strict standards and which many local agents donít subscribe to. A
